Man Arrested for Robbing Business in Arlington

A man from Washington, D.C. was apprehended by Metro police after he committed a robbery at a business in Arlington, Virginia. The incident took place on Monday evening at the 1700 block of Crystal Dr.

Police Response

The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) swiftly responded to a report of a business being robbed at around 6:50 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find that a man had entered the establishment and engaged in conversation with an employee before making off with money from the register.

Suspect Apprehended

Following the robbery, ACPD issued a lookout for the suspect. Metro Transit Police Department officers sprang into action and successfully located the individual in Washington, D.C. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Maleek Geeter, was tracked across rail lines through live and recorded video footage before being arrested at a Metro station in the capital.

Legal Action

Geeter, a resident of Washington, D.C., was charged with robbery in connection to the incident. The authorities commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies in swiftly resolving the case.
