ORLANDO, Fla. — Another arrest has been made in connection with a tragic shooting incident that took place in the Rosemont neighborhood of Orlando in February, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to six others.

The incident occurred on the night of Feb. 28, around 11 p.m., near the intersection of Ironwedge Drive and S. Lake Orlando Parkway.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered the body of a young man, later identified as 21-year-old James Jerry Williams.

According to authorities, video evidence suggests that “the decedent fired the first shot before being fatally shot by another individual who was armed.”

The shooting reportedly stemmed from a dispute between two groups earlier in the day, revolving around the failure to return a vehicle by an agreed-upon deadline.

On Thursday, the Fugitive Investigative Unit apprehended 20-year-old Daiquan Noah Robinson in connection with the shooting. Robinson faces charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and carrying a concealed firearm.

In a separate development, on Monday, the FIU apprehended 40-year-old Shamika Rose Stubbs-Peterson, who now faces charges of burglary of an occupied conveyance with battery, providing false reports to law enforcement during a capital felony investigation, providing false information to law enforcement during an investigation, and battery.

The initial arrest in this case occurred the day after the shooting, with the apprehension of Wayne Anthony Grant Jr. on charges of aggravated battery related to the incident.
