In a quiet neighbourhood on the 5000 block of East Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas, a horrific incident unfolded in the early hours of March 5. The tranquility of the area was shattered by the sound of gunshots, prompting multiple reports to be made to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a scene of chaos outside a convenience store. Three victims lay on the ground, two adult females and an adult male, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, one of the female victims was pronounced dead on the spot, while the other two were rushed to Sunrise Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The Suspect’s Escape
According to the detailed report provided by LVMPD, the suspect, later identified as Jason Manuel, fled the scene on a bike towards eastbound Tropicana Avenue. After an intensive investigation, law enforcement authorities successfully identified and apprehended 43-year-old Jason Robert Manuel in California. He was promptly extradited to Las Vegas to face justice for his alleged crimes. Manuel appeared in Clark County Justice Court on April 16, where he was charged with two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and one count of attempted murder.
