Abington Township Man Arrested for Assault at Urgent Care Facility

A man in Montgomery County, Abington Township, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody on Monday following allegations of assaulting two women at the urgent care where he was employed.

The investigation was initiated on March 1 when a woman reported to the Abington Township Police Department regarding an incident that took place at the Carbon Health Urgent Care facility in the Jenkintown section of Abington Township.

According to police reports, the first victim visited the urgent care for a drug screening and encountered an employee later identified as Ramon Garcia. The victim alleged that Garcia insisted on observing her while she provided a urine sample for testing.

Subsequently, the victim claimed that Garcia made inappropriate advances towards her, including asking her out on a date and providing his phone number. This incident prompted the initial investigation, which led to further revelations.

On March 10, a second female victim came forward with allegations against Garcia. She reported that during an examination at the Carbon Health Urgent Care facility, Garcia, posing as a nurse, inappropriately touched her during a pelvic exam.

The victim detailed that Garcia had her undress and proceeded with the examination, during which he engaged in inappropriate conduct. Despite her objections, Garcia persisted with his advances, prompting the victim to dress and leave the premises.

Following these allegations, Garcia was apprehended while on duty at the urgent care facility. Authorities discovered that Garcia, employed as a medical assistant, had overstepped his professional boundaries by conducting examinations and undressing patients without the necessary qualifications.

Garcia has been charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and invasion of privacy. Investigations are ongoing to determine if there are additional victims who have not yet come forward.

Having worked in Abington Township since July 2023, Garcia may have previously worked at other Carbon Health Urgent Care facilities in Montgomery County and Dresher, Pennsylvania. Individuals with relevant information are urged to contact the police at 267-536-1102.

Efforts to obtain a response from Carbon Health Urgent Care regarding this case have been unsuccessful as of the time of reporting.
