Pharmacologic options (e.g., selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) may be considered for persistent symptoms, with short-term anxiolytics used cautiously under medical guidance.

Lifestyle strategies can reduce non-cardiac triggers: limiting stimulants (excess caffeine, nicotine, decongestants), avoiding late large meals, moderating alcohol, managing reflux triggers, and addressing posture or strain. Hydration, gradual graded activity, and stress-reduction techniques can also mitigate symptoms that feel “heart-related.”

In practice, the safest “supplement” advice is conditional: do not attempt to self-treat undifferentiated chest discomfort with product blends.
