Lifestyle factors—regular physical activity, consistent sleep schedules, and reducing excessive caffeine or stimulants—can improve baseline arousal. Prognosis is generally favorable with timely, structured treatment. Many patients experience meaningful symptom reduction and improved functioning. However, delayed care increases the risk of chronicity and secondary complications such as social withdrawal and occupational impairment.
