Details of the Incident

In a tragic incident, a 32-year-old male from Ochapowace First Nation was found deceased at a residence in the early hours of the morning. The Broadview RCMP received a call for assistance from the EMS at approximately 6:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the injured male, identified as Elias Still, who was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Investigation and Arrest

Following the suspicious death, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation. A suspect, also a 32-year-old male from Ochapowace First Nation, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder. The suspect was remanded to custody and appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court a few days later.
