A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday night in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh, where a 34-year-old man lost his life in a brutal stabbing attack. The victim, identified as Rana Ahmed from Banati village under Rajgati union, fell prey to his rivals in a heinous act of violence.
Previous Enmity Leads to Fatal Attack
According to reports from both the police and locals, the root cause of this horrific crime can be traced back to a longstanding enmity between two individuals in the village – Abul Hashem and Bakul. This simmering feud eventually boiled over on that fateful night, resulting in the untimely demise of Rana Ahmed.
Attack Caught on Mobile Phone
Rana was ambushed by his assailants while he was using his mobile phone near his residence. The attackers, armed with sharp weapons, inflicted fatal wounds on him, leaving him in critical condition. Despite the efforts of nearby residents who rushed to his aid upon hearing his cries, Rana succumbed to his injuries before reaching the Upazila Health Complex.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Officer-in-Charge Abdul Majid of Nandail Police Station has confirmed that three suspects have been apprehended in connection with the murder. The authorities are currently conducting intensive operations to track down and arrest the remaining culprits involved in this heinous crime.
