A grim discovery was made on Monday morning in northern San Diego County, as authorities reported finding a body in Oceanside Harbor. The Oceanside Fire Department’s Marine Safety Unit responded to a call about a body floating in the water around 9 a.m.
Details of the Incident
The body, identified as a man in his late 50s, was found lodged between a boat and the G dock at the harbor. He was confirmed to be the owner of a sailboat moored on the same dock. The Marine Safety Unit promptly retrieved the body from the water and handed it over to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Oceanside Police Department was also summoned to the scene to conduct further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
