The Tragic Accident That Took Two Lives in Chattogram

Early this morning, tragedy struck on Arakan Road in Boalkhali upazila of Chattogram, as a sand-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, claiming the lives of two individuals. The auto-rickshaw driver, Delwar Hossain, and his passenger, fish trader Mizanur Rahman, lost their lives in the devastating accident.

Delwar Hossain, a 30-year-old from Kachua village in Chandpur district, was a resident of Lalkhan Bazar area in Chattogram city. Mizanur Rahman, 32, hailed from the same area and was on his way to buy fish from the Gomandandi Fultala fish market in Boalkhali when the tragic incident occurred.

According to Second Officer of Boalkhali Police Station, Sub-Inspector Farrukh Ahmad Minhaj, the collision took place at Raikhali Pul area on Arakan Road early in the morning. The impact of the crash was so severe that Delwar Hossain succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while Mizanur Rahman was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.

Despite efforts to apprehend the truck driver, he managed to flee the scene, leaving behind a trail of devastation. The authorities have seized the truck, and a case is currently being processed in connection with the incident.
