Accident – Death – Obituary News : The tragic incident at the Rambagh crematorium in Gurgaon on Saturday evening has left the entire community in shock and mourning. The collapse of the rear wall claimed the lives of five individuals, including two young girls, and left one person in critical condition.

The victims have been identified as Manoj Gaba, Devidayal alias Pappu, Krishna Kumar alias Baba DJ, Tanya, and Khushboo. The incident occurred while six individuals were sitting by the wall, smoking hookahs, when suddenly the wall collapsed on them. The two young girls who were playing nearby also became trapped under the debris.

The mother of Tanya expressed her frustration, stating that they had repeatedly asked the crematorium manager to repair the wall as it had been showing signs of weakness for the past two months. She mentioned that the wall had no beams, pillars, or columns, and the weight of the logs of wood leaning against it had weakened the structure.

SHO New Colony Avtar Singh commented on the poor construction of the wall, attributing the tragedy to negligence on the part of multiple parties. DCP West Karan Goyal assured that an investigation would be conducted and a case filed against the cremation ground management based on the complaint.

Local residents living in the colony behind the cremation ground had also noticed the weak walls and lack of a strong foundation. The rescue efforts were further complicated by the logs of wood that fell on the victims when the wall collapsed. Cranes were brought in to remove the debris and the logs of wood.

The injured were taken to various hospitals for treatment, but unfortunately, Devidayal, Manoj, Krishna, Tanya, and Khushboo succumbed to their injuries. The entire community is mourning the loss of these individuals and demanding accountability for the poor construction of the wall that led to this tragic incident..
