Human Remains Found at Bowron River Rest Stop Investigated as Homicide

Last weekend, a disturbing discovery was made at the Bowron River rest stop located east of Prince George. The Prince George RCMP are currently treating the incident as a homicide investigation.

Identification of the Deceased

The deceased has been identified as Edward Michael Milne, who was reported missing to the detachment on March 29. Milne’s body was found at the rest area on Highway 16 on April 14, shortly after Mounties issued a missing person advisory for him.

Investigation by BC RCMP’s North District Major Crime Unit

The BC RCMP’s North District Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation into this tragic incident. They are working diligently to gather all the necessary evidence to bring justice to the victim and their family.

Appeal for Information

Police are appealing to anyone who travelled past the rest area on Highway 16 between March 27 and 29 to come forward with any information they may have. Specifically, they are interested in details about vehicles parked in that area during that time frame.
