Accident – Death – Obituary News : Tension Mounts in Ayodhya as Bodies of Two Neighbours Found on Railway Track
The town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh was thrown into turmoil on Friday as news spread of the tragic discovery of the bodies of a groom-to-be and a married woman on a railway track in the neighbouring Barabanki district. The deceased individuals were identified as Shailendra Kumar Dubey, 25, and Mahe Nigar, 23, who hailed from different communities. The two had been reported missing from their homes in Ayodhya’s Pakaria village since Wednesday, according to Asha Shukla, the Station House Officer of Mawai police station. The situation escalated with a heavy police presence being deployed in Pakaria village to maintain peace and order.
Mystery shrouds the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Shailendra and Mahe, as no suicide note was found at the scene. However, authorities suspect that the two may have jumped in front of a moving train at Masauli in Barabanki, approximately 40 km away from their homes. The exact cause of their demise can only be ascertained after the completion of the postmortem examination, Shukla mentioned.
Initial investigations revealed that Shailendra and Mahe had been in a relationship for the past six years, despite facing opposition from their families. Shailendra, a farmer, was scheduled to have his ’tilak’ ceremony at his residence on Friday, as his wedding had already been arranged. On the other hand, Mahe had been married to Ibrar Ahmed from Amethi for two years, with her husband working in Saudi Arabia. She had been residing with her parents in Ayodhya for the past few months.
According to the Ayodhya police, Shailendra’s uncle, Hari Saran Dubey, received information on Thursday about two bodies being discovered on a railway track, with one of them carrying the man’s Aadhaar card. He promptly rushed to Barabanki with two others and positively identified the bodies. Furthermore, Shailendra’s motorcycle was found abandoned near the railway track, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
Subsequently, the woman’s family was alerted, and both bodies were sent for postmortem examination before being handed over to their respective families for the final rites. The entire community is reeling from the shock of this tragic event, and authorities are working tirelessly to unravel the circumstances that led to the untimely demise of Shailendra and Mahe.
The incident serves as a somber reminder of the complexities and challenges faced by individuals in relationships that go against societal norms and expectations.
