Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a tragic incident that shook the polling booths in Salem and Kallakurichi Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu, two voters lost their lives on Friday. The first victim, R Chinnaponnu, aged 77, from Sentharapatty in Salem district, collapsed at booth number 250 in Sentharapatty while exercising her voting rights. Despite being rushed to the government hospital in Gangavalli, doctors confirmed that she had passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

The second victim, N Palanisamy, aged 69, from Suramangalam in Salem LS constituency, also suffered a similar fate as he collapsed inside a polling booth. He was immediately taken to the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital, where doctors sadly confirmed that he had succumbed to a cardiac arrest.
