Tragic Incident Unfolds in Gadag, Karnataka

In a heartbreaking turn of events, four individuals have been brutally hacked to death in the quiet district of Gadag, Karnataka. The incident took place in the wee hours of Friday, sending shockwaves through the community.

Victims Identified

The victims have been identified as Karthik Bakale (27), Parashurama (55), his wife Laxmi (45), and their daughter Akanksha (16). All four were residents of Koppal and had come to Gadag for a family gathering.

Details of the Crime

According to SP Gadag, B.S. Nemagouda, the perpetrators used sharp-edged weapons to carry out the gruesome act. Initially, they knocked on the door of the victims’ house, but upon receiving no response, they entered through the balcony, where they mercilessly attacked the unsuspecting family.

The Bakale family had gathered to celebrate the upcoming marriage of their son Karthik. Relatives had travelled to their residence for the occasion, with Parashuram, Laxmi, and Akanksha arriving on April 17.

Horror Unfolds

On the fateful night, after a day of celebration, the family retired to their respective rooms. The killers broke into the first-floor room where Parashuram, Laxmi, and Akanksha were sleeping, and without mercy, ended their lives.

Karthik, who was on the ground floor, rushed to investigate the commotion but was met with the same gruesome fate. Meanwhile, the Municipality Vice President Sunanda and her husband Prakash Bakale, who were also present in the house, managed to alert the police, thwarting the killers’ attempt to harm them.

Community in Shock

The senseless act of violence has left the community reeling in shock and disbelief. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs H.K. Patil visited the Bakale family to offer his condolences and support in this difficult time.

Authorities are working tirelessly to apprehend the culprits and bring them to justice. The peaceful town of Gadag has been shaken to its core by this heinous crime, and the memory of this tragic incident will forever haunt the residents.
