Two Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in Moreno Valley

Authorities have made two arrests in connection with the death of a man who was shot in Moreno Valley earlier this year. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced on Wednesday that two individuals have been taken into custody in relation to the incident.

Details of the Shooting

The tragic incident took place on January 28 in the 13600 block of Red Mahogany Drive in Moreno Valley. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting at approximately 1:46 a.m., where they found Roshadd Johnson, 41, of Moreno Valley, with life-threatening injuries. Johnson was rushed to a medical facility but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries hours later. Another individual, Alleaua Moore, was also injured in the shooting.

Arrest Warrants Issued

Following an investigation, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Dwight Harris, 34, of North Las Vegas, on March 6. Harris is suspected of killing Johnson and attempting to kill Moore. Investigators revealed that Harris was seen ringing the Ring doorbell at Johnson’s residence on the night of the shooting. He then proceeded to open fire on the residence, firing five shots.

Arrest and Extradition

Michael Dwight Harris and his girlfriend, Tatiana Tene Parks, 34, were arrested in Las Vegas on April 8 on suspicion of murder and accessory to murder, respectively. They are currently being held at Clark County Jail in Las Vegas and are awaiting extradition to California.

Motive for the Shooting

While the investigation is ongoing, details regarding the motive for the shooting have not been disclosed at this time. However, authorities have stated that no additional suspects are being sought in connection with the case.
