A 35-year-old man from Boston is facing drug charges following two fatal overdoses at an apartment complex on Lexington Street on April 7.

Investigation and Charges

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office launched an investigation into the two fatal overdoses where two men were found deceased with a white powdery substance at the scene. The substance was later identified as cocaine and fentanyl.

Jourdan Henderson has been charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute oxycodone. Investigators discovered text conversations on the victims’ phones linking them to Henderson regarding drug transactions on the day of the overdoses.

Sting Operation

Law enforcement set up a sting operation with Henderson and subsequently arrested him. Upon his arrest, officers found nine oxycodone pills, seven grams of a white powdery substance believed to be fentanyl-laced cocaine, $2,500 in cash, and drug paraphernalia such as a scale and baggies.

Court Arraignment

Henderson appeared in Waltham District Court where he was ordered held on $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court on May 30 for further proceedings.
