Tragic Shooting Incident at the Home of Charles Vallow in Chandler, Arizona

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The jury in the Chad Daybell murder trial heard gripping testimony on Tuesday morning about the tragic shooting death of Charles Vallow at his home in Chandler, Arizona.

Detective Nathan Duncan of the Chandler Police Department recounted being one of the officers who responded to the 911 call made by Alex Cox on June 11, 2019, reporting a shooting at the residence of Charles Vallow.

Upon arriving at the scene, Detective Duncan described a harrowing sight. He detailed how he found the body of Charles Vallow, a Caucasian male, lying on the west side of a room in the house. Nearby, an aluminum baseball bat and Charles’ baseball cap were discovered. Additionally, two .45 caliber casings and a lodged bullet were found, indicating a violent altercation.

It was revealed in court that Charles had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Strangely, there was very little blood present at the scene, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.

Prosecutor Lindsey Blake presented compelling evidence in the form of emails exchanged between Charles Vallow and Chad Daybell, as well as between Charles and Lori. These emails highlighted Charles’ suspicions of an affair between Chad and Lori, shedding light on a possible motive for the tragic events that unfolded.

The trial and the testimony of Detective Duncan are ongoing, with interested individuals able to follow the proceedings via live-stream on Judge Steven Boyce’s YouTube channel.
