Tragic Motorcycle Convoy Accident in Kota Bharu

KOTA BHARU: A fun night out with friends turned into a nightmare for a young biker in Kota Bharu. The tragic incident occurred at KM 9.9 of the Ketereh-Kota Bharu highway in the early hours of the morning, resulting in a seven-vehicle pile-up that claimed the lives of three individuals.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Izuddin Ahmad Jhosman, was among those killed in the accident. He tragically passed away while receiving medical treatment at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian.

Ahmad Izuddin’s father, Ahmad Jhosman Ab Rahman, shared heartbreaking details about his son’s last moments. The young man had left his home in Kampung Teluk Kandis in Salor to meet up with his friends at an eatery in Ketereh. Despite his mother’s request for him to stay home for dinner, Ahmad Izuddin was eager to join his biking pals.

According to his father, Ahmad Izuddin was passionate about motorcycles and had a certificate in automotive skills from a technical college. He was also pursuing his TVET diploma studies at Giatmara Rantau Panjang.

Tragedy struck in the middle of the night when a seven-vehicle crash occurred on the highway. The collision involved six motorcycles and a car, resulting in the deaths of Ahmad Izuddin and two of his friends, Azman Uji, 21, and Muhammad Faiz Mohd Nasarudin, 19.

Three other bikers involved in the accident sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital for treatment. The community in Kota Bharu is mourning the loss of these young lives and praying for the swift recovery of those injured.

The deceased will be laid to rest at the Islamic cemetery in Kampung Teluk Kandis in Salor, as loved ones remember them for their kind hearts and love for their families.
