The Tragic Accident in Bennington
Last week in Bennington, a devastating accident took place involving a dump truck and a red Chevy Sonic. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as a 69-year-old man named Morris Combs from Fremont.
Details of the Collision
The collision occurred at the intersection of N 240th Street and Pawnee Road. Both vehicles were travelling eastbound on Pawnee Road when the dump truck attempted to make a turn onto 240th Street. It was at this moment that the Chevy Sonic, attempting to pass the truck in the westbound lane, collided with it.
The Tragic Outcome
Unfortunately, Morris Combs did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities are still investigating the circumstances that led to this fatal accident.
