Tragic Death of 5-Year-Old Girl in Chicago
A heartbreaking incident has shaken the community of Chicago, as a 5-year-old girl tragically passed away after being brought to an Oak Park hospital with severe facial injuries. The Chicago Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation into this devastating case.
Details of the Incident
On Sunday afternoon, CPD responded to West Suburban Medical Center following a report of child abuse. The young girl, who had visible bruising on her face, was rushed to the hospital from a home in the 900-block of North Lavergne Avenue in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Identification and Collaboration
The victim has been identified as Lyric Jackson, and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is working alongside the Department of Children and Family Services to assist in the investigation. This collaboration aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of this innocent child.
