According to Virginia State Police, the fatal crash involved a 2023 Can-Am Outlander that was travelling east on Indian Valley Post Office Road. The ATV veered off the right side of the road, careened down an embankment, and collided with several trees, resulting in the ejection of the driver.

The driver of the ATV was identified as 48-year-old Todd Nathanial Huff, a resident of Indian Valley, Virginia. Sadly, it was reported that Huff was not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet at the time of the crash, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
