Canada: A devastating tragedy struck a quiet neighborhood in Brampton, Ontario, when an Indian-origin couple and their teenage daughter lost their lives in a suspicious house fire. The incident took place on March 7 at a home located in the Big Sky Way and Van Kirk Drive area.

Uncovering the Tragedy

Authorities were alerted to the blaze, which quickly engulfed the residence. After the fire was extinguished, investigators made a grim discovery – what appeared to be human remains within the charred remains of the house. It was later confirmed that the victims were 51-year-old Rajiv Warikoo, his wife, 47-year-old Shilpa Kotha, and their 16-year-old daughter, Mahek Warikoo.

Police Investigation

The Peel Police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, deeming the fire as suspicious. Peel police Constable Taryn Young stated that the Ontario Fire Marshal had determined that the fire was not accidental, adding an air of mystery to the tragic event.

Neighbourhood Shocked

Neighbours of the deceased family, such as Kenneth Yousaf, expressed shock and disbelief at the tragic turn of events. Yousaf, who had known the family for over 15 years, described them as good neighbours and was devastated by the loss. The community was alerted to the fire by a loud noise, and within hours, the family’s home was reduced to ashes.
