Accident – Death – Obituary News : An arrest has been made in connection with the tragic stabbing of a good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a dispute between roommates in Westminster, a vibrant city in Orange County, California. The incident took place on Friday afternoon in the 7300 block of 21st Street, sparking a swift response from the Westminster Police Department.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers found several residents of the apartment complex restraining the suspect, identified as Isaias Saquic-Saquic, aged 35. It was revealed during the investigation that Saquic-Saquic had engaged in a physical altercation that turned violent, resulting in the stabbing of his roommate and neighbour, Alvaro Martin-Perez, aged 48. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Martin-Perez tragically succumbed to his injuries.
In a show of bravery and selflessness, Martin-Perez’s actions were described as heroic by Westminster Police Chief Darin Lenyi. He expressed admiration for the late Samaritan’s courage in attempting to shield his neighbour from harm, ultimately paying the ultimate price in the process. The chief commended Martin-Perez for potentially saving the lives of others in the vicinity.
In the aftermath of the incident, another roommate of Saquic-Saquic, a 35-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the altercation. Saquic-Saquic was subsequently taken into custody and booked at Orange County Jail on charges of murder and attempted murder.
