In a tragic turn of events, a 44-year-old man named Prasanth lost his life in a devastating elephant attack in Oveli, Gudalur. The incident took place on Thursday night as Prasanth was making his way back home after visiting a nearby temple. The locals reported that a wild elephant emerged from the adjacent forest, leading to the fatal encounter.

The tranquil town of Gudalur, situated in the picturesque surroundings of Oveli, was the unfortunate site of this heartbreaking incident. Nestled amidst lush greenery and pristine landscapes, Gudalur is known for its serene atmosphere and close proximity to nature. The Tragic Outcome
Following the attack, Prasanth was rushed to the Gudalur district headquarters hospital for immediate medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to the Medical College in Ooty. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Prasanth tragically succumbed to his injuries the following morning, leaving behind a grieving community in shock.
