It is with heavy hearts that we report on the devastating news of three Nepalis losing their lives in a car collision in Kuwait. The incident occurred on Seaside Road in the Mahboula area, claiming the lives of Sujan Karki, Surat Bahadur Kadayat, and Dhiraj Gurmachan Magar.

Details of the Incident

The three Nepalis, who were working for Papazone Company in Kuwait, met with a tragic fate in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Sujan Karki, hailing from Kathmandu’s Sano Bharyang, Surat Bahadur Kadayat from Panchadewal Binayak-5, Achham, and Dhiraj Gurmachan Magar from Dhanusha, were on Seaside Road when the collision occurred.

Efforts for Repatriation

Prem Raj Gautam, the First Secretary and Information Officer of the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, confirmed the unfortunate incident and stated that the necessary procedures for repatriating the bodies to Nepal have been initiated. The embassy is working closely with the families of the deceased and their employer to ensure a smooth process.

Insight from the Nepali Community

Raj Malla Thakuri, president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists in Kuwait, shed light on the events leading up to the tragedy. Sujan Karki and Dhiraj Gurmachan Magar had visited their friend Surat Kadayat in Mahboula the night before the accident. The following morning, as Kadayat was preparing to head to work, he went to pick up his friends. Unfortunately, the collision took place en route, resulting in the untimely demise of all three individuals.

The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to Farwaniya Hospital for post-mortem examinations as the Nepali community in Kuwait mourns the loss of three of its own.
