Man Arrested for Trespassing at San Mateo High School
A 29-year-old man was taken into custody by the San Mateo Police Department after he was found trespassing at San Mateo High School with a large knife. The incident occurred on the school’s campus, where the man, later identified as Oscar Marroquen-Perez, of San Mateo, got into a physical altercation with security personnel.

Upon receiving a report of the trespasser at 9:55 a.m., several SMPD officers quickly responded to the scene. The man resisted when asked to leave, leading to a brief struggle with officers before he was eventually detained in handcuffs.
Discovery of Weapon
During a search of Marroquen-Perez’s backpack, a large kitchen knife was found. The suspect had initially provided police with a false name, further complicating the situation. As a result, he was arrested for multiple charges, including possessing a weapon on school grounds, trespassing, disrupting school activities, resisting arrest, and providing false identification to law enforcement.

Despite his arrest, Marroquen-Perez remained aggressive and combative throughout the incident. He was taken into custody and booked into San Mateo County Jail to await further legal proceedings related to his charges.
