Arrests Made in Connection to Northeast High School Shooting

Authorities have apprehended three individuals following the tragic incident that took place last Wednesday afternoon near the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 7300 Rising Sun Ave in Philadelphia.

The suspects, identified as Ahnile Buggs, Jamaal Tucker, and Jermahd Carter, have been charged with Attempted Murder, aggravated assault, and other related offenses. Buggs hails from the 1000 block of W. Olney Ave, Tucker resides on E. Slocum St. in Mount Airy, and Carter’s address is on Ella St. in Olney.

Video footage captured the moment a dark blue 2019 Hyundai Sonata pulled into the parking lot, with three masked individuals exiting the vehicle and opening fire on innocent bystanders waiting at a nearby bus stop. The assailants then fled the scene in the vehicle, leaving chaos and panic in their wake.

The victims, comprising seven males and one female aged between 15-17, were rushed to hospitals for treatment. While most are in stable condition, a 16-year-old boy sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was initially in critical condition. Fortunately, he is now on the path to recovery.

Additionally, the bus at the scene was hit by gunfire and subsequently transported to the Frankford Transportation Center for further investigation.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward by calling 911 or providing anonymous tips at 215-686-TIPS.
