The Disturbing Incident at Precinct Bar in Downtown Los Angeles

A shocking incident unfolded at the entrance of Precinct, a popular bar in downtown Los Angeles. Surveillance video captured two men urinating on the bar’s entrance door before getting into a scuffle with the bar’s manager, Jeremy Lucido.

The Confrontation

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, just after the bar had closed for the night. Lucido, the general manager of Precinct, encountered the two men a short distance from the bar.

Lucido described the encounter, stating, “I was walking to my car on the sidewalk when I noticed two guys, clearly intoxicated, carrying their full cocktails. I recognized the glasses from our bar, so I knew they had been inside. I approached them and told them they couldn’t have their drinks outside. When I tried to grab one of the cups, the taller man pushed me, causing me to fall back.”

Identifying the Culprits

Upon reviewing the security footage, Lucido discovered the disturbing act of public urination on the bar’s employee entrance. The video was shared on Precinct’s Instagram account, garnering nearly 1,000 comments from shocked viewers.

Many commenters identified one of the men involved as Chris Kilpatrick, an elected member of the Crescenta Valley Town Council. The comments on the video quickly escalated, with various individuals sharing their own accounts of encounters with the men.

Legal Defense

An attorney representing Kilpatrick stated that Lucido did not identify himself as a bar employee during the confrontation. The attorney claimed that Kilpatrick believed he was acting in self-defense, fearing he was going to be the victim of a hate crime.

The attorney’s statement highlighted the distinction between public urination, considered an infraction under the Los Angeles Municipal Code, and battery, which is a misdemeanor offense. The attorney argued that Kilpatrick’s actions were justified as a form of self-defense.

As the investigation into the incident continues, the community awaits further updates on the repercussions for those involved.
