Two women were tragically murdered by unknown killers in separate incidents, while two children lost their lives and nine others were injured in gas leakage explosions across Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The incidents have left the communities in shock and mourning.

Details of the Murders

One of the victims, 28-year-old Asma Yousaf, was found stabbed to death in Ittefaq Town, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kirpa. Her body was discovered near her residence in the morning and was promptly taken to PIMS for postmortem examination. The motives behind her brutal murder remain unknown as the Homicide Investigation Unit of PS Kirpa continues its investigation and has filed a case against the perpetrators.

In another heartbreaking incident, the body of a 17-year-old girl named Zahra was found with head injuries in front of her house on Range Road. Rescue 1122 transported her remains to DHQ Hospital for further examination. Zahra had reportedly left her home after a dispute with her family and was viciously attacked by unknown assailants. The police have launched an investigation into this tragic event.

Gas Leakage Blasts Cause Further Tragedy

Meanwhile, gas leakage explosions in different parts of Rawalpindi resulted in the deaths of two children and left several others with severe burn injuries. In Bhabra Bazaar, a blast caused by gas leakage claimed the lives of seven-month-old Arham and three-year-old Ayat, while their mother Reema was critically injured and rushed to Holy Family Hospital Burn Unit for treatment.

Furthermore, a separate gas leak explosion on Tipu Road left five individuals – Ambreen (19), Perveen (45), Intezar (45), Abiha (16), and Faiz (45) – critically injured and requiring immediate medical attention. Another blast on Girja Road caused injuries to three individuals, including Shahzaib (18 months), Noor (3), and Sobia Waqar (30), who were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

These tragic incidents have shaken the residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, highlighting the need for increased safety measures and vigilance in the community to prevent such senseless acts of violence and accidents from reoccurring.
