Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a tragic turn of events, three individuals lost their lives in separate road accidents in Mohali within the past 24 hours. The incidents all took place in Zirakpur, highlighting the need for increased road safety measures in the area.
The first accident claimed the life of 26-year-old Amandeep Singh, who was riding a motorcycle that collided with a parked truck on the highway. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, registering a case against the truck driver based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s friend, Pradeep Kumar.
The second accident occurred near AKM Marriage Palace on the Zirakpur-Patiala highway, where a motorcyclist was hit by a car traveling in the wrong direction on the slip road. The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Rahul Saini, sustained serious injuries and unfortunately passed away while receiving treatment at a government hospital in Panchkula’s Sector 6.
In the third tragic incident, 51-year-old Raj Kumar of Mubarikpur was struck by a vehicle from behind while riding his bicycle on the 200-feet road. Raj Kumar was rushed to Sector-32 GMCH hospital in an injured state but sadly succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
These heartbreaking accidents serve as a stark reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations to prevent such avoidable tragedies. Authorities must take immediate action to improve road safety measures and ensure the well-being of all road users in Mohali and beyond.
