Tragic Triple Shooting in Lawtey, Florida

A devastating incident unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday in Lawtey, a small town located about 40 miles southwest of Jacksonville, Florida. Johnnie Bernard Brown, 46, allegedly shot his girlfriend and her two adult daughters in what authorities are calling a “domestic incident”. The horrific event took place at a residence in Lawtey, sending shockwaves through the quiet community.

911 Call Alerts Authorities

The tragic situation came to light when the girlfriend’s 11-year-old granddaughter bravely called 911 to report the triple shooting. Multiple phone calls were made to alert the authorities, who swiftly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies discovered three female adults with multiple gunshot wounds.

Victims Identified

The victims were later identified as 49-year-old Quanique Robinson, 27-year-old Danisha Sims, and 25-year-old Windshay Roddey. Unfortunately, all three women were pronounced dead upon the arrival of law enforcement officials. The senseless act of violence left the community reeling in disbelief.

Suspect Named and Arrested

Johnnie Bernard Brown, who was also found at the scene with injuries, was named as the prime suspect in the shooting. Despite initially claiming self-defense, Brown’s story has since shifted, implicating him in the pursuit of the victims before the fatal shots were fired. Both Brown and the 11-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
