Accident – Death – Obituary News : A shocking incident took place at a Connecticut daycare and early learning center, where a teacher was accused of tossing a 2-year-old child into a wall. The incident, which occurred at Town and Country Early Learning Center in Middletown, has left many in disbelief.
The authorities were alerted to the incident on January 12 when a complaint was filed against the teacher, identified as 47-year-old Kristie Kovarcik from Haddam, Conn. The complainants were shown surveillance video footage of the alleged assault, prompting them to request Kovarcik’s arrest.
Upon further investigation, detectives obtained surveillance footage from the facility, which clearly showed Kovarcik picking up the child and throwing them against a wall. As a result, the child sustained a minor contusion above their right eye. The director of the facility witnessed the incident on camera and immediately removed the child from Kovarcik’s care.
Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Kovarcik, charging her with risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment in the second degree. The 47-year-old turned herself in to authorities on February 26 and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Court on March 11.
The Town and Country facility took swift action in response to the incident, firing Kovarcik from her position as a teacher. The safety and well-being of the children in their care are their top priority, and they are cooperating fully with the authorities in the investigation.
