LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — In a tragic incident that shook the community, a man accused of brutally stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death in November is set to appear in court once again today.
The incident took place on November 10, 2023, in the early hours of the morning, just before 7 a.m. Lynchburg Police received a distressing call reporting a stabbing in progress.
Details of the Incident
Upon arriving at the scene, the first responding officer was met with a horrifying sight – a man actively stabbing a woman. Despite orders to cease his actions, the man, identified as Tony Brown, continued his assault. In an effort to stop the attack, the officer was forced to use their department-issued handgun, injuring the assailant.
The victim of this tragic incident was identified as Nicole Rosser, whose life was cut short in a moment of senseless violence.
Court Appearance
Today, Tony Brown is scheduled to appear once again in Lynchburg Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for a hearing at 2:00 p.m. This court appearance is a crucial step in the legal process to ensure justice is served for the victim and her loved ones.
