The gruesome discovery was made on Monday, March 4, by a fisherman along the river banks. This harrowing incident has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community of Flint, Michigan.

A Disturbing Scene Uncovered

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton revealed chilling details of the investigation during a press conference on Monday, March 11. According to Leyton, a blood-stained mattress and kitty litter were found in a motel room at the Flint Motel on Dort Highway. Blood splatters were also observed on the walls and bed sheets, painting a grim picture of the events that transpired.

Last Moments of a Tragic Life

Barber was reported missing by a concerned co-worker on Saturday, March 2, after failing to show up for work and ignoring phone calls. It was revealed that she had been experiencing difficulties with her boyfriend, Christopher Motry, who had allegedly threatened her life on multiple occasions. The couple checked into room 18 of the Flint Motel on Wednesday, February 28, marking the last time Barber was seen alive.

A Gruesome Act of Violence
