Victoria: A 36-year-old woman from Hyderabad was found murdered in Australia. Her body was reportedly found in a wheelie bin on the side of a road in Buckley on Saturday.

The woman, identified as Chaithanya Madhagani, was staying with her husband and son in Australia. Her husband, who allegedly killed her, flew to India and handed over their child to her parents in Hyderabad.

Details of the Incident

In a statement released by Victoria Police dated March 9, homicide squad detectives are investigating the tragic discovery of a deceased person in Buckley, near Winchelsea. The body was found on Mount Pollock Road around midday, leading to the establishment of a second crime scene at a residential address on Mirka Way, Point Cook, believed to be connected to the initial homicide.

The police have classified the death as suspicious and are currently pursuing leads, with speculation that the perpetrator may have fled overseas. However, they have assured the public that there is no immediate threat to the community, and no arrests have been made at this stage.

Confession and Requests for Repatriation

Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy, representing the constituency from which the deceased hailed, extended his condolences to the grieving family. He disclosed that the woman’s parents had requested his assistance in repatriating her remains to Hyderabad, prompting him to reach out to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for support.

Furthermore, the MLA revealed that the woman’s husband had flown to Hyderabad and delivered their child to her in-laws. According to the parents, the son-in-law had allegedly confessed to the heinous act, adding a layer of tragic complexity to the unfolding situation.
