A tragic incident unfolded at a ‘dhaba’ in the serene town of Murthal, Haryana, where a prominent businessman fell victim to a heinous crime. Sundar Malik, a well-known liquor trader, was brutally shot dead by unidentified assailants in broad daylight, sending shockwaves through the community. The police revealed that more than 20 rounds of bullets were fired during the gruesome attack.
The distressing event took place in Sonipat around 8.30 am on a peaceful Sunday morning. The chilling footage of the incident swiftly spread across social media platforms, capturing the desperate attempt of Malik to escape from the ruthless perpetrators, only to meet a tragic fate.
Gangster Claims Responsibility
In a disturbing turn of events, a notorious gangster from Haryana, Himanshu alias Bhau, brazenly claimed responsibility for the cold-blooded murder of Sundar Malik. In a chilling statement, he declared, “Today, the murder of Sundar Malik in Murthal, Sonipat, was orchestrated by Himanshu Bhau. Sundar thought highly of himself as a prominent figure in the underworld. We deliver swift consequences to anyone who dares to cross our path.”
Deependra Hooda Criticizes Government
Following this shocking development, opposition parties launched scathing criticisms against the Khattar government of Haryana. Congress MP Deepender Hooda took to Twitter to express his dismay, stating, “Once again this morning, the guns of criminals roared, bullets flew, and news of another sensational murder in Sonipat left the community in disbelief.”
Prior to this incident, Haryana witnessed another tragic loss when INLD chief and former MLA Nafe Singh Rathee was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar district. The unfortunate event claimed the life of an associate of Rathee as well, plunging the region into a state of mourning.
