Man Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Being Shot by Police in Vermont Square Area
Over the weekend, a man found himself in critical condition after a confrontation with Los Angeles police officers in the Vermont Square area. The incident took place around 12:55 p.m. on Saturday, following reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the vicinity of 54th Street and Manhattan Place.
Suspect Points Handgun at Unidentified Person
The suspect, identified as Jose Robles, allegedly brandished a handgun and pointed it at an unidentified individual, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Officers who were in the area on another call spotted Robles walking in Chesterfield Square Park and recognized him as the suspect from the earlier report.
