Man Found Dead in Pasadena Apartment

An Azusa man was tragically pronounced dead in a Pasadena apartment after what authorities believe was a violent assault. The incident occurred late Friday night in an apartment building located in the 100 block of North Catalina Avenue. Pasadena police officers responded to a call at 10:57 p.m. and found paramedics attempting to save the man, identified as 35-year-old Desmond Terence Murrell. Despite their efforts, Murrell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Assault Investigation Underway

Lieutenant Keith Gomez of the Pasadena Police Department stated that during the initial investigation, it was determined that Murrell had been physically assaulted before experiencing the medical emergency that led to his death. Robbery/homicide detectives are now actively investigating the incident to establish the motive behind the attack.
