Former CFL Coach Dave Ritchie Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of former CFL coach Dave Ritchie. Ritchie, who was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2022, left behind a legacy of success in the world of Canadian football. He was a three-time Grey Cup Champion, coaching the BC Lions from 2005 to 2007 and in 1993 and 1995, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1999 to 2004 and in 1990 and 1991, the Montreal Alouettes from 1983 to 1987 and in 1996 to 1998, and the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1992.

Despite his impressive coaching career, the cause of Dave Ritchie’s death remains unknown at this time. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Throughout his coaching career, Dave Ritchie made a lasting impact on the Canadian Football League and the teams he worked with. Known for his strategic mind and dedication to the sport, he was beloved by players and fans alike.
