Man Killed and Another Injured in Shooting Incident Near Asha Dispensary, Brahmpuri Pulia
A man lost his life while another was left seriously injured in a tragic shooting incident that took place outside a public toilet near the Asha Dispensary, Brahmpuri Pulia, on Saturday evening in New Delhi.
Details of the Incident
The Seelampur Police Station received a distress call through the PCR reporting the incident. The deceased victim, identified as Arbaaz (24), son of Zahur, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and abdomen. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital.
The injured individual, Abid alias Bhondu (22), son of Sajid, is currently fighting for his life at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds to the head and waist.
Victims’ Background
Arbaaz had a history of criminal activities, with five cases against him, including riot, extortion, and murder. This incident was not his first encounter with violence, as he had previously survived an attack last year, which tragically claimed the life of his brother, Hamza.
Abid also has a tainted past, having been involved in a murder case as a minor back in 2018.
Investigation and Concerns
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and Crime Team have examined the scene of the crime, recovering 10 empty shells of 7.65 mm caliber. The police are currently analysing CCTV footage from the area to identify the assailants.
A comprehensive investigation has been launched by the authorities, involving the scrutiny of CCTV footage and the collection of forensic evidence. This incident has raised concerns regarding gang-related activities and public safety in the area.
Efforts are ongoing to ensure that justice is served and that the perpetrators are brought to book.
