Five Suspects Arrested in Connection with Long Beach Murder

Five suspects have been arrested by the Long Beach Police Department in connection with the murder of 41-year-old Andre McClendon, who was tragically shot in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue in November of last year.

Arrested Suspects

The suspects have been identified as:

  • 18-year-old Adonis Reese from Long Beach
  • 20-year-old Jose Ramos from Lancaster
  • 20-year-old Joshua Spencer-Morgan from Long Beach

All three suspects have been charged with murder and are currently being held on $2 million bail.

The two remaining suspects are:

  • 20-year-old Emily Castaneda from Compton
  • 24-year-old Angelica Esquivel from Long Beach

Castaneda and Esquivel are facing charges of accessory to murder and arson, and are being held on $50,000 bail.

Details of the Incident

McLendon was fatally shot just after 2 a.m. on Nov. 26 last year. Authorities believe he was approached by a group of males before being shot. While a motive for the murder has not been provided by the police, it is suspected to be gang-related.

After the shooting, the suspects quickly fled the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement officers arrived.
