On a fateful Monday night, a small plane crashed into the shoulder of Nashville’s Interstate 40, resulting in a devastating loss for a Canadian family of five. The victims of the crash were pilot Victor Dotsenko, 43, his wife Rimma Dotsenko, 39, and their three children, David, 12; Adam, 10; and Emma, 7. The family, hailing from King Township, Ontario, just north of Toronto, met a tragic end as their plane burst into flames upon impact.

The plane, a Piper PA-32, originated in Ontario, Canada, and made stops in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Mount Sterling, Kentucky, possibly to refuel. However, the flight took a tragic turn when the pilot reported a complete loss of engine power and attempted an emergency landing at John C. Tune Airport in Nashville.
