On February 29th, a devastating accident took place in Grant County, UK, where three individuals lost their lives in a collision involving a garbage truck. The victims, identified as Hilda Rodriguez, Aida Rodriguez, and Efrain Garcia, all from Bolivia, tragically passed away in the crash that occurred at the intersection of Road 25-Southwest and Road R-Southwest near Mattawa.

Identifying the Victims

The Grant County Coroner, Craig Morrison, confirmed the identities of the deceased individuals following the accident. The trio were passengers in a Ford truck that investigators believe failed to obey a stop sign and collided with the side of a garbage truck, driven by George Prebicin Jr. of Warden, Washington.

Driver’s Condition

The driver of the Ford truck, Marcello Gomez, also from Bolivia, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized after the crash. His current condition remains unknown as he continues to receive medical treatment. Meanwhile, George Prebicin Jr., the driver of the garbage truck, suffered only minor injuries in the incident.
