Double Shooting in Worcester Leaves Mother and Daughter Dead

Suspect at Large: Dejan Belnayvis

The man authorities are searching for has been identified as 27-year-old Dejan Belnayvis. Considered armed and dangerous, Belnavis is described as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He faces charges of armed assault with intent to murder and possession of a firearm without a license.

While one man has been arrested in connection to the homicides, the identity of this individual has not been disclosed by police.

The victims, 27-year-old Chasity Nunez and her 11-year-old daughter Zella, were remembered by friends and family as loving individuals who were taken far too soon. Chasity, a military veteran, leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter, while Zella was described by her cousin and godfather, Tyrae Sims, as a vibrant young girl despite being legally blind.

Sims had a poignant message for the perpetrators of this heinous crime, expressing his disbelief and sorrow over the loss of his loved ones. He emphasized the impact of their actions, stating that Chasity was a devoted mother and Zella was a bright and joyful child who did not deserve such a fate.
