Motorcyclist Killed in Tragic Accident on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway
Today, a devastating accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway has left a motorcyclist dead in the Bhaberchar Eidgah area of Munshiganj’s Gazaria upazila. The victim, identified as Akter Hossain Dhali, 65, was a resident of Srinagar village in Bhaberchar union of Gazaria upazila.
According to Md Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Ghazaria Bhaberchar Highway Police Station, the fatal incident occurred when a passenger bus belonging to Tisha Paribahan struck the motorcycle as it was attempting to make a U-turn from the Dhaka-bound lane to the Cumilla-bound lane. The impact of the collision tragically resulted in the immediate death of the motorcyclist.
Details of the Incident
The body of the deceased has been transported to the Gazaria Upazila Health Complex for further proceedings. Additionally, the bus involved in the accident has been seized by authorities as part of the investigation. However, both the driver and the helper of the bus managed to flee the scene before they could be apprehended.
