In a heartbreaking turn of events, a fatal accident took place near Shawnee, claiming the life of a 78-year-old driver. Diana Srader, a resident of Prague, tragically lost her life after failing to yield at a stop sign on Tuesday afternoon.

**Details of the Accident**

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when Srader was driving eastbound on Interstate 40 towards US-177. Unfortunately, she failed to stop at a stop sign, leading to a collision with another vehicle. As a result of the impact, Srader was trapped in her vehicle for approximately 14 minutes before being rescued by the Shawnee Fire Department, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

**Tragic Outcome**

Following the accident, Srader was rushed to OU Health in Oklahoma City, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was also taken to OU Health via ambulance and was reported to be in good condition by OHP officials.
