Police in Marina del Rey are currently on the lookout for two suspects following a shooting that took place on Del Rey Ave. The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Monday, prompting a swift response from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a victim who had sustained gunshot wounds from an automatic handgun. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.
According to the LAPD, the suspects involved in the incident fled the area in a black Chevrolet Suburban, with the license plate ending in “8XK.” Descriptions provided by the police indicate that one of the suspects is a black male with dreadlocks, dressed in grey attire with the word “Essential” emblazoned on the clothing. The second suspect, also a black male, was spotted wearing all-black clothing. Additionally, there may have been a third suspect in the back seat of the vehicle.
As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
