ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. – The peaceful neighbourhood of Brooklyn Park in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was rocked by a tragic shooting incident that claimed the life of a young man. On March 4, at approximately 2:41 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 100 block of Bon Air Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Tyrese Malik Williams, who had been shot multiple times.

Williams, a resident of the area, was ambushed outside his home by several suspects who opened fire on him before fleeing the scene in a dark gray van. The van, later identified as a gray Toyota Sienna, was found to have been stolen from Baltimore. Despite the swift arrival of emergency services and the efforts of first responders, Williams was pronounced dead upon arrival at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Following the incident, a thorough investigation was launched by Anne Arundel County officers, in collaboration with the Baltimore Police Department. At approximately 11:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Baltimore Police Department helicopter unit, detectives were able to locate and apprehend five suspects in the Edgecomb neighborhood of Baltimore. The stolen Toyota Sienna was seized as evidence, and two handguns were recovered.

Among those arrested were 17-year-old Dabron Tyreek Johnson and 18-year-old Dicouisey Orlando Wilson, both from Baltimore. Johnson, charged as an adult, and Wilson were charged with the murder of Tyrese Williams. Additionally, 20-year-old Tykese Markel Hammond, also from Baltimore, was taken into custody on an open warrant from Frederick County for failing to appear in court on motor vehicle theft charges.

While two other individuals, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, were released to their caregivers without charges, the investigation into the tragic shooting incident in Anne Arundel County continues as authorities work to bring all those responsible to justice.
