Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez revealed that Amanda Rivera, 28, was driving under the influence when her 2019 Nissan sedan collided with the rear of a parked and unoccupied tractor-trailer on Route 185 near the intersection with Linden Avenue East in the early hours of Saturday, February 3.

Rivera and the front seat passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Old Bridge, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at Jersey City Medical Center.
